Denfurlong Farm caravan & Campsite
Do you allow groups?
Unfortunately we do not except groups (2+) of anyone under the age of 25. We make an exception for DofE, scout/guide, school groups. Please call for details.
Can I book for just 1 night?
Due to high demand we employ a three night only reservation for electric hook ups over bank holiday and Easter periods. These run for three nights and have to include Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. At all other times of year you can stay for just one night. Our grass pitches are available for 1 night stays all year round, with a certain amount available for bank holidays and Easter weekends, please call to enquire about booking for 1 night.
Do you have a permanent facilities block?
Yes, we have a purpose built block, with 4 x family wet rooms, 2 x extra toilets and an area for washing up.
Are fires allowed?
Yes,we curently allow fires, but only in fire bowls. No fires are allowed on the ground. We have fire bowls to hire if you don't have your own to bring. These cost £15 for your stay and include a sack of wood. A £25 deposit is required for each bowl hired. Over the early May bank holiday someone had a fire on the grass which has ruined a bit of our site. If we have one more fire on the ground we will unfortuantely be forced to stop fires altogether. You have been warned. Don't let your selfish actions ruin it for everyone else!
Can we use a barbecue?
Yes, as long as it is off the grass. There are blocks by the toilet block for use with single use barbecues. Please return the blocks when you have finished using them as they can be dangerous if left lying around and it is much easier for the next campers to find them.
What if the weather is bad?
Unfortunatley we have as much control over the weather as you do. Obviously we love the sun and hope that your stay will be blessd with warm sunshine, however this is the UK and as such the weather is not predictable. If you leave early due to the weather being bad, we are afraid to say that we will not refund. As they say "there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing".
I'm running late to book in, what do I do?
Give us a call if you think you'll be later than 5pm (8pm Fri) and we will let you know what to do.
Can I park by my tent/caravan?
Yes, we have space by each pitch to park. We have a designated area for parking cars on site should you wish to unhitch.
Does the shop sell gas?
Yes we have 6 and 15kg calor gas bottles, including the camping lite gas, which are available for refill from the shop.
Is it dark on site?
Yes. We have no lights in the field. Lay back and look at the night sky and you will see why. Please bring a torch for finding your way around the site at night.
We allow dogs, but any mess is your responsibility. Anyone seen not picking up after their dog will be asked to leave immediately with no refund. You wouldn't want it in your tent and neither do the rest of our campers.
We are a family friendly site and excessive noise will not be tolerated. If we get complaints you will be asked to keep it down. If you do not quieten down to a site friendly level after this you will be asked to leave immediately, no matter what the time of day or night. You only get one chance. Quiet is asked for after 10pm. Foul language will not be tolerated at any time.
Cars should not be moved around after 10pm unless absolutely necessary. Anyone driving around the site in what is deemed as an unsafe or disorderly manner , at any time of day/night, will be asked to leave with no refund.
Aggressiveness towards staff
We have the authority to remove from site anyone acting in what we see as an aggressive or overly unpleasant manner towards any member of our staff or other site user with no refund offered.
